This is a juried sale. The artist may sell only original, hand-made work. Members of the Takoma Park arts community will review applications with selections based on the quality and uniqueness of the work. Past sales have featured a variety of media including, but not limited to painting, photography, pottery, jewelry, textiles, and glass. The number of participants for each media will be limited to maintain a diversity of offerings. Jury selections will be made biweekly, after the Call for Artists is released.  Applicant notification will follow.  Apply early, as slots may be filled before the application deadline.
NOTE: There is no cost to participate in the sale.
Each artist will be provided with one 6’ table and one chair. There is free wireless internet service available within the sale area.

The Save Ten Mile Creek coalition is comprised of 16 civic groups representing more than 10,000 Montgomery County residents. Our goal is to protect Ten Mile Creek in Clarksburg, our county’s last, best creek. In so doing, we will help protect the Washington area’s emergency drinking water supply.
Snacks, beverages and music will be provided.
Because we are so close to Halloween, costumes are optional and encouraged. Come as you aren't!

GreenFest is a fun-filled day for the whole family, featuring environmentally themed vendors, non-profits, speakers, activities, games and educational opportunities.

Building on last year’s success, this year’s festival will feature a full day of educational lectures and panel discussions by national and local environmental leaders. It will also include a showcase of green businesses, solutions to environmental challenges, and games for all ages, including a game of Catan:Oil Springs, an environmentally-themed board game based on the popular Settlers of Catan. Old Town Takoma: Carroll Avenue in Takoma Park, MD to Carroll Street, NW in Takoma, DC.

The streets will be filled with music, artisans, community groups, children’s activities, food vendors and variety of green companies. All Souls will once again be filled with the joyful music of clarinetist Evan Christopher and master drummer Shannon Powell, straight from New Orleans. A reception follows to meet the artists and learn about our work in New Orleans. Before Katrina, the Lower 9th Ward was a vibrant, family-centered community. Eight years later, only 25% have been able to return. All proceeds go to our partner, the Lower 9th Ward Homeownership Association, to support their program to bring the displaced families home.

The concert will be followed by a reception to meet the artists and learn about the Lower 9th Ward Homeownership Association.
