The SLIGO CREEK HEDGE SCHOOL - An Irish Music and Culture Camp for Youth
Since 1998, the Sligo Creek Hedge School has been dedicated to helping youth experience the joy of Irish music, poetry and culture.  Learning Irish traditional music is the heart of the Sligo Creek Hedge School - singing, pennywhistle, bodhran (the Irish drum), even harp and accordion!   But we do much more –  a daily Tea & Poetry Time, Celtic crafts, lunches at Sligo Creek (perfect for wading), and field trips.  We might visit a local instrument builder, stroll with Irish wolfhounds, try the Uilleann (rhymes with "willin") bagpipes, and much more.  Our days are filled with fun!
For more details and to register visit the website:
Karen Ashbrook, Director Sligo Creek Hedge School
